Havre de Grace is hands down one of my favorite towns for two very simple reasons—its charm and its people. Even if you’ve never been, the moment you set foot here, you’ll get that cozy, small-town vibe wrapped in postcard-perfect Chesapeake Bay views.
And when summer and fall roll around, Havre de Grace truly outdoes itself with some of the best festivals you’ll find anywhere. This year’s lineup is packed with live music, unique markets, mouthwatering food, and plenty of personality. Trust me, you’re going to want to mark these dates on your calendar ASAP (and yes, I’ll be there!).

Summer is well underway, but the events will always keep on coming — so we want to share all of our favorite summer and fall festivals happening in Havre de Grace this year!

If you love any combination of art, wine, jazz, or meaningful community events, then Concord Point Park is the place to be on August 9th. The 8th Annual Arts, Wine, Jazz & Soul Fest is not just another music festival—it’s an afternoon draped in soulful vibes and purpose.

Everything supports the Havre de Grace Colored School, so just by attending, you’re showing love to a piece of local history.
Picture this: waterfront views by the Lighthouse, a warm summer breeze, local artisan vendors, and live jazz & soul music, with performances by none other than Baltimore-based singer Maysa, local legend Saxl Rose, and Chandra & Ryzeband.

Whether you’re lounging with a glass of wine or wandering through art displays, this ticketed event absolutely brims with culture and relaxation.

The selection of artisan vendors is very impressive offer a chance to support local black-owned businesses while shopping incredible hand-crafted items.
Lastly, the selection of wine vendors is on point -- white, red, rosé (and other beverages) make this a one-of-a-kind event you won't want to miss!

Havre de Grace First Fridays | August 1
📍Downtown Havre de Grace
⌚️5:00pm - 9:00pm
There’s something magical about the rhythm of First Fridays in Havre de Grace. Come August 1st, September 5th, and October 3rd, the downtown transforms into a bustling street festival that’s equal parts lively and laidback.
Imagine over 80 vendors lining the streets with handmade crafts, delicious food (you have to try the baked goods) and so much local flair. Plus, there are several bands and local performers bringing live music — which gives the whole event a feel-good, community block party vibe.
Plus there is a Kids Zone with a bounce house, face painting, games and other activities the whole family can enjoy. Speaking of family, this event is pet-friendly, so get ready for the urge to pet some dogs while you stroll around!
(Pro tip: Arrive early to snag a good parking spot and make an evening of it with friends or family—roaming from vendor to vendor is half the fun!)
